Traipsing in Tallinn

In teh past two weeks I've been to Tallinn, Estonia twice... It's just a two hour boat ride away. The first trip was with school staff.. just a day of fun and good company. The second time I went along with the 8th grade art group as a supervisor.

It was great, it's been years since I last was there and I love how the city has changed.
Old and new.
Right next to each other.
So much prettiness.

This is a very photo heavy post :)

I loved this Mini.. look it even has union jack seats.. swoon..

Like I said.. old and new.

With the art group we walked to Kumu, the art museum, and just before it is this amazing park.

The kids immediately found a place to put their feet up.

Inside I really liked this corner room with busts.
All sizes, materials, people you recognized and others that left you wondering...

..and a surprise too..

I wonder what is making him laugh?

Laurel and Hardy lookalikes :D

Pretty flowers at the marketplace.

Yes, indeed.. it was a good spot to take a rest and a cappucino.

Quaint details.

And a very dapper tourist..

Mood shot on our way back on the boat.

White, purple and lilac..

My sister-in-law's big brother is getting married today and they asked me to do the flowers.
I'm always more than happy to do wedding flowers..

This is what I started with:

And this is what came out of that bucket..so to speak..
Seven of these for the tables..

After taking that photo I realized it was missing just a little something...

Can you tell the difference?

Look closely..
I added some lilac pearls :)

The bride's bouquet has pearls also..

The calla lilies are so beautiful.

And the boutonniere.

I wish Petri and Tiina all the happiness in the world today, and for the rest of their lives!

The funky green flower you ask?
It is indeed a carnation.
Called Green Trick ;)
It might have just earned a place as a new favorite flower of the month..

There's some good thing in there.. friends, sewing, good food, hobbies, parties, even Venus :)

If you love to scrapbook.. and sew...

..you would do what I did.. get your hands on some Basic Grey fabric!!!
I found mine on Etsy, the yummy Sultry line all ready and cut.
Hey, makes life so much easier with no measuring involved..

There's the charm pack..

..and the honey bun..

I needed a bag to pack scrapping stuff into when heading to a crop (to you non-scrappers, crop = meeting up with other scrappers to create/talk/laugh together) and used some of the strips from the honey bun on this.

It is quilted and padded and pretty and oh so girly.

I used the leftover bits from the striped front piece for pockets.

The bag is ready to be packed.
It will be filled with stuff to play with when I head to my friend Heini's house on Saturday for an all day crop.
Cannot wait!
I might as well start packing now..
I'm home sick, still with a sore throat and stuffy head.. no fever today..so far..
I'll be back later tonight to show you wedding flowers. But only after 7pm my time, after the ceremony is over ;)
