I was on winter break, so the only work was done at my desk making minis :D

Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can wear something fun again!

-Missä?-
Paikka on Englantilainen koulu Helsingin Meilahdessa, Mäntytie 14 .Kulkuyhteydet ovat hyvät niin omalla autolla, kuin julkisillakin. Raitiovaunut 4 ja 10 tuovat lähelle (nelonen ihan viereen), Mannerheimintiellä (pysäkki: Kuusitie) ja Paciuksenkadulla (pysäkki: Meilahdentie) kulkee huippumäärä busseja ja jos on junalla tulossa, niin Pasilan asemalta kun hyppää 58 bussiin, niin se tuo sieltä ihan perille. Kadunvarsiparkkitilaa on koulun ympärillä. Klikkaa tästä , niin löydät kartan.

-Maksaako se jotain?-
Sisäänpääsymaksua ei ole :)

-Voinko tuoda lapset?-
Ainoa toive on, että sylivauvaa suuremmat lapsukaiset jäisivät kotiin hoitoon, jotta äiditkin saisivat stressivapaata laatuaikaa hyvässä seurassa.

-Kun nälkä iskee-
Termareissa löytyy kahvia ja teetä, pienet tarjottavat olemme tuoneet nyyttärihengessä :)

Lounaspuolen voi jokainen osallistuja hoitaa itselleen sopivimmalla tavalla. Kylmätilaa on, jos haluat tuoda omat evääsi (ja kola/energiajuomasi) ;) , tai 5min kävelymatkan päässä on K-market ja McDonalds. Ja pitsat taidetaan tällä kertaa tilata jostain muusta kuin aikaisemmasta vakkarifirmasta..eikö? ;)

-Mitä tarvitsen mukaani?-
Pakkaa mukaan materiaalia ja valokuvia tarpeeksi, mieluummin hiukan yläkanttiin, työkalusi ja villasukat tai tossut (kuka sitä koko päivän jaksaa hikoilla kengät jalassa!). Voit myös tuoda kirjoja tai lehtiä muiden selailtavaksi (muista merkitä nimesi niihin) inspiraatiota antamaan.
Ja kenelläpä meistä ei olisi ylimääräisiä tarpeita? Niitä hetken mielijohteesta tehtyjä ostoksia, jotka sitten pölyttyvät hyllyllä? Mulla on ainakin :D Tuo ne vaihtopöytään! Voit bongata sieltä itsellesi jotain omalle sivullesi sopivaa.

It was my birthday this past weekend... and for once Hubby took my hint ;)
No more cramming my camera into my purse with a grimace, just because hauling the entire camera bag would be ever so awkward.

Because this baby is a camera bag.
Truly.
I kid you not.


I can fit in my camera, an extra lens, plus my wallet, phone etc...

70cm of white

70cm in six weeks.
For you metrically impaired that is about 28 inches.
Yesterday brought nearly 30cm/12 inches of it.
It was coming down heavy.
Pretty.. for a while..



It started before we got up in the morning...
We did a good six hours worth of shoveling, shuffling and hauling that white stuff around.

It was still going strong around 9pm.

Mind you, the neighbors' back yard does look pretty.




I took a few pics this morning just so can see to what ends we have to go..
We have ploughed a passage to take the snow to the back yard.

There's a sizable mountain of it, backed by an even bigger one of our neighbor's.

I know.. it is pretty... but honestly I've had enough pretty for this winter.
Unfortunately Mother nature hasn't...
There's more due tomorrow and Thursday.
And mostly on us in Helsinki.

...sigh...

Five days

feb15- phone
Making plans for winter break. Time to meet up with friends!


feb16- something new.
I turned an old t-shirt into a new neclace.

It has a heart made from clay hanging from it.


feb17- time
Time for some COLOR, it's friday!


feb18- drink.
Going through a late friends dollhouse supplies... had along a new version of the traditional long drink (lonkero). They have a dry version out! Perfect for me, who likes her drinks as brut as they come ;)


feb19- something you hate to do.
That's hubby shoveling snow. Altogether we did a good six hours worth of it yesterday. Helsinki got dumped on, 30cm/12 inches.

I set the teachers' room table today in pink, red, doilies and chocolates.
It was so sweet your teeth hurt :P

The vases were inspired by these candleholders.
I added doilies and felt hearts to mine.
And stuck flowers in them..
