No need to fuss...

..we found him today!

Nemo, that is...
*grin*

Niina and I went to the local Sea Life with my brother's family today.

I loved watching the two year old's enthusiasm over each and every fish...

"Titta Niina, FISK!"

The ten year old was pretty happy too ;)

So was her mama as she heard no whining about not having friends to play with..

I'm bracing myself for tomorrow (well..today.. since I'm typing this past midnight) though.. Niina's getting her big braces.. she'll be sore :(

Through the looking glass....

Hello friends!
I'm so happy you're here... it promises to be quite the Mad Tea Party this year.
(Thank You Vanessa!)

The Mad Hatter and I would like to invite you to have a walk in the garden with us.
Smell the air, so fresh after Midsummer rain...

We'll stroll through the wild roses..
This pale pink beauty has arrived in my garden through mystery.. it was not planted here.. it simply grew out of the ground one year.
How lucky!

Daisies make me happy.

The self-proclaimed queen at the moment is the peony.
She shines.

But let us not look down on those flowers just past their prime, I find beauty in them too....

Oh the rain....

It brings us looking glasses, let us show you...

Get close.

Very close.
And peek in....

There is a whole new world in there.

One that calls you name... listen to its whisper....

You never know... you can find your way to a secret garden...

What might grow in this garden?

My guess is teeny tiny toad stools...

Leave me a comment and this tiny treasure could head your way ;)

I'll randomly pick the lucky winner next saturday, that should give you partiers enough time to travel the distances sipping some tea and enjoying cakes (I saw some delicious pink ruffled ones earlier...)

The Mad Hatter and I would like to thank you all for stopping by!

Please grab a small cake with you before you leave.. right by the looking glass there.. you can't miss them.. they have little tags that say "Eat me"...

I have a feeling eating one can take you on an adventure...

30 day photo challenge: part 2

...continued :)

11. something blue

I bought Niina this cute Marimekko head scarf, it's one of my favorite fabrics. I'm partial to the elephant with cowboy boots.

12. sunset

Can you see the airplane?

13. yourself with 13 things

My things were rather small :) I played around with solid water epoxy and made some pretty flowers in vases for the upcoming miniature fair.

14. eyes

15. silhouette

Nothing better than a dandelion puff..

16. long exposure

Yes indeed, the sun is shining AND it is pouring. This is the Johannes Church downtown.

17. technology

This drawer underneath my computer houses all the cords my tech things need.

18. my shoes

It's the third summer for my well loved Timberland sandals... they are starting to show the wear and tear. I might have to go check the sales for a new pair...

19. something orange

Somewhat of a staple in any Finnish household, and a few worldwide as well.

The Fiskars orange.

20. bokeh

I'm so glad this was one of the challenges. I got out my looovely 50mm 1.8 lens.

I need to take it out more.
