Eurovision hoopla that is.
Wow.
There was a lot of folk in town last week. I think they estimated 10 000 tourists?
Here are a few more photos from Friday:

Detail of a wall I found fascinating.
The cool statues. The smallest was just the size of Niina!
Do google 'Las Meninas'.
You'll see what painting inspired these.

These balloons were pretty fun!

I even put them on my banner.
What you don't see in the photos is the huge stage and screens set up across the square. The ones who couldn't afford the ridiculously expensive tickets to the event and didn't want to watch it at home, could join the 25 000 or so people who crowded this square on saturday...

Now.. what had this poor coffee cup done to deserve being impaled like this?
That is just plain wrong.
As for the song contest?
I have to hand it to the technical crew. I have never seen a stage so cool and those lights were amazing.
And I'm happy to say that a beautiful song won.
Marija Serifovic from Serbia sang
Molitva (Prayer).
Close your eyes and listen, ok?
I'm home sick today.
Blech.
And aaattccchhooooooooooooooo!
