Admiring teh dress one of the gals got for her b-day.

15.
Dead tired.
Spent the evening unwinding on the computer.

16.
Making presents...
Gingerbread body scrub.

17.
Our school secretary retired today.
Sad day, she came to work at the school when I was on 3rd grade!

18.

Christmas shopping.
The background chocolates came out of a Åhlens department store Xmas brochure I picked up in Stockholm. Lots of cool pages in that one :)

Dec 19th

It's already the fourth advent.
I'll share all four in one post.
Keep your eyes open now to spot the differences ;)

(ooops.. someone knocked the number four askew..)

(yes, I dusted the table between advent three and four..LOL)

I picked up these black metal numbers this year.

They are pushpins :)

Taking cue from Veeruliiru and picking out my 12 favorite layouts from this year.
It was tougher than I thought...
Also got me to count how many pages I've made through the year and to my awe the number is 75.
Wow.
Seventy five!

Yeah...

The majority of my pages has just the one photo.

But then I can cram them on there too.. the Paris double pager has 18 photos :D

Biggest surprise to myself is how I picked so many pages with b&w photos.. that's new..

Cream and yellow please my eye (weird with the yellow, I'd never wear anything in the color..)

Lots of pics of my kiddos and my niece, big things, little things, advice, observations...

I've no idea what term you could use to explain my style... eclectic? Snazzy? Pile it on until it looks good and then add more for good measure? ;P

I know I love layering stuff and texture.. and playing with paper.

And yes, I'm a patterned paper junkie.

Not one cardstock page made it to my top 12.

Dec 18th

Snowflakes outside.
Snowflakes inside.

I bought these a couple years back and love the subtle twinkle.

It's my favorite thing about this season...

Decorating our dining room.

Even the chandelier gets a facelift.

Dec 17th

I have this sweet glass Xmas tree I got as a present two years ago.
I love it.
Love it. Love it.
(Kiitos Lenni ja Minna!)

Last night Niina switched the decorations :)

I like it this way too...

Very cute!

Dec 16th

At the end of November I spent some time at work making new ornaments for our tree.
The old ones were quite horrid and by luck of draw had been tossed out (along with the old tree) during renovations.

So, I mentioned I had seen an idea online I thought would work fabulously.
Mind you I added a little twist to mine.
I printed, glued, folded and glittered for three days :D

Then I decorated the tree.
It looks oh so pretty by the school main door.

Yup.

Still tearing out pages from old copies of Johnny Tremaine :)

Dec 15th

Lights downtown :)

These are my favorites!

The ferriswheel.

Not all pretty lights need to be Christmas lights.

I snapped this from the bus :)

Dec 14th

A secret passion.

Of sorts.

My small collection of mercury glass ornaments.

I haven't bought one this year.

Yet.

*grin*

Dec 13th

Today is Saint Lucia Day.
She brings warmth, hope and light.
I give you some of my favorite kind of light this darkest time of year.

December Daily continued :)

Our dollhouse club went to the National Museum's dollhouse exhibit.
We ooohhed and aaahhed.
Then ate very well at a Chinese restaurant and exchanged presents :)

This is in two parts, used packaging cardstock for the pages.

I'm procrastinating on my xmas cards yet again...sigh..

9.

Baked spicy sourmilk cake.
One for the next day's party and one for us.

Yummm...

10.

Food, wine, laughter, talk and music.
Good times.

11.
Another two pager.
Our photoshoot day.

The Black and silver background as the white strip on the opposing page are pieces of awesome flocked wallpaper.
